Aug 7, 2022 - Four years after they were golden on at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan defeated their Australian rivals in at tie-break set today at the women’s beach volleyball final in Birmingham, England.

August 7th, 2002 – Rylan Wiens can say that the Commonwealth Games are mission accomplished. He climbed the second step of the podium Saturday in the men’s 10m at the Commonwealth Games, an event he very much wanted to medal in.

After seven electrifying days of competition, the Commonwealth Games came to a close on Sunday. Canada’s athletics team ended the competition having won four gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
