CGC’s Bowling Out AIDS program moving ahead

Colin Higgs presents the first complete set of Bowling Out AIDS cards to Hon. Alan Duncan, M.P. Minister of State for International Development, Government of the United Kingdom.

Cards were presented prior to a friendly cricket match in Grenada that wrapped up the 7th UK-Caribbean Forum.

Bowling Out AIDS is a cricket based development through sport program designed to both increase cricket skills, and reduce the incidence and transmission of HIV infections.  Designed for Caribbean youth 9-19 years of age the program was designed and developed by Commonwealth Games Canada at the request of UK Aid, the international development arm of the UK Government.  Commonwealth Games Canada was chosen as the development and delivery agent because of its long-standing reputation as a world leader in the use of sport to achieve international development goals.
