Media Accommodation for Delhi Commonwealth Games

OTTAWA, February 12, 2010 – Canadian media interested in booking accommodation at the official media hotels for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India are invited to complete the online Booking Request Form at www.cwgdelhi2010.org/accommodation.

The site provides detailed information on accommodation options for the Games as well as contact information for the Games Travel Office in Delhi. The two official media hotels for the Games are the Janpath Hotel and the Hotel Ramada Plaza, both located in central Delhi within three kilometres of the Main Press Centre. Rates begin at $140 USD per night (plus taxes) for a single, standard room with a four-night minimum stay. Meal plans are also available.

Bookings will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and will be held with a non-refundable deposit of 30 per cent of the total billing. The Delhi Organizing Committee requests that the balance be paid by May 30, 2010.

The online media accreditation process for the Commonwealth Games will begin in April. All Canadian media interested in attending the Games are encouraged to apply for accreditation. More details will be provided as soon as they are available.
