DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE

Rob Adams is the CEO of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and has served in leadership roles for more than 20 years. He is a forward-thinking strategist with broad operational expertise in areas that include human resources, fund development, marketing and communications, partnership development and change management. Rob has deep knowledge of board operations. He has experience in board recruitment, development of board terms and references, and board strategy, and understands how to obtain board approval of new directions and policies. Coming into the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, CEO role in 2018, Rob presided over the successful amalgamation of the Kingston and Brockville and Area YMCAs. Rob is a graduate from Recreation Leadership Program at Mohawk College and has continued his education through attending certification courses based out of the Smith School of Business at Queens University, and the Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School – Western University.

Rob is an active community volunteer, an avid reader, loves the outdoors, and who has completed over 30 marathons including two Boston Marathons.
