Recovering from a difficult first day, Brianne Theisen-Eaton reeled in three competitors on Saturday to win a bronze medal in the heptathlon with 6653 points.

RIO – Canada’s Hilary Caldwell admitted she had visions of gold but beamed with pride when her bronze was hung around her neck on Friday night following a third place finish in the women’s 200-m backstroke at the Olympic Games.

RIO- Sixteen-year-old Penny Oleksiak from Toronto won an historic gold medal in the women’s 100-metre freestyle on Thursday night at the Olympic Games. She tied with American Simone Manuel for top spot as both clocked an Olympic Games record 52.70 seconds in a dramatic finish.

RIO- Penny Oleksiak anchored Canada’s 4X200-m freestyle for the bronze medal and qualified second for the 100-m freestyle on Wednesday in another exciting night for Canadian swimming at the Olympic Games.

Maintaining their form through five highly competitive rounds, Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion finished on the Olympic podium Tuesday, winning a diving bronze medal in the 10-metre synchro.
