Deeply saddened by the death of Randy Starkman
The staff and volunteers of the Commonwealth Games Association of Canada are deeply saddened by the death of Randy Starkman.
As members of the sports community, the CGC is in Randy's debt for his unwavering support and commitment to the coverage of Canadian athletes.
"Randy was selfless in his concern for the well-being of others and passionate about ensuring our athletes received the praise, the scrutiny, and the support that he knew they so richly deserved. Canadian sport has lost a remarkable advocate and all of us have lost a wonderful friend", says Dr Andrew Pipe, President Commonwealth Games Association of Canada.
"Randy's passion and commitment to Canada's athletes and coaches was extraordinary. He will be missed, but not forgotten", comments Brian Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer Commonwealth Games Association of Canada.
Our sincere condolences are sent to his wife Mary Hynes, daughter Ella and the Starkman family.
