As the Canadian franchise holder for the Commonwealth Sport Movement in Canada, Commonwealth Sport Canada (CSC) is a proud and active contributor to Canada’s sport system and the broader international sport community. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by a small, dedicated professional team, CSC works to strengthen Canada’s sport system, create opportunities and build meaningful connections across the country and throughout the Commonwealth. CSC delivers both high-performance and sport-for-development programs in Canada and internationally. Through this dual mandate, CSC harnesses the transformative power of sport to pursue excellence, advance inclusion, strengthen communities and create lasting positive social impact.
CSC is seeking nominations from passionate, energetic and forward-thinking individuals who are inspired by the power of sport and eager to contribute their time, expertise and leadership to help strengthen and grow the Commonwealth Sport Movement in Canada. CSC believes our strength comes from the diversity of the people, perspectives and experiences that shape our organization. We are committed to attracting, developing and celebrating a diverse, gender-balanced and highly skilled, competency-based Board of Directors and Members-at-Large that reflects the communities we serve and the values we champion. CSC particularly welcomes nominations from individuals whose perspectives and lived experiences have historically been underrepresented in sport leadership, including people with disabilities, Black and Indigenous peoples, people from communities of colour, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
