World Bowls Releases Updated Rankings - 2 Canadians in the top 5
When World Bowls released their updated World Rankings last month, Canada was right up there with the rest of the world. On the Men’s side, Hanover Ontario’s own Ryan Bester is ranked 5th. This is in part to a great showing at the World Championships last November in Adelaide. Ryan came home with two medals; a Silver in the Singles event and a Bronze in the Pairs event with partner John Bezear.
On the Women’s side, Toronto Ontario’s Kelly McKerihen is also currently ranked 5th. Kelly has had a very successful few months that also started at the World Championships where she earned a Bronze medal in the Singles event. She then turned that into another Bronze medal at the World Cup in Warilla.
Canada is beginning to show the world what we have to offer. Congratulations to Ryan and Kelly on this great achievement.
On the Men’s side, Leif Selby of Australia is currently ranked 1st, while on the Women’s side Jo Edwards of New Zealand is currently ranked 1st overall.
