Synchro Canada introduces the athletes training at its Centre of Excellence in 2012-2013
Synchro Canada is pleased to introduce the athletes that will train at the Centre of Excellence in Montreal this season and who will be members of Synchro Canada’s Senior A and B National Teams in 2012-2013.
“Our high performance program is now starting a new era and its preparation for the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games”, said Senior National Team new Head Coach, Meng Chen.
“The comeback of three 2012 Olympic Team members - Chloé Isaac, Stéphanie Leclair and Karine Thomas, of three Olympic Training Team members - Geneviève Bélanger, Gabrielle Cardinal and Erin Willson, combined with many initiatives from Synchro Canada in the past years including the creation of the Centre of Excellence, will allow us to pursue our objective to always improve amongst the best in the world in the next international competitions.”
“Let’s not forget all those young athletes who are growing and developing in our Canadian club system, who are doing a colossal work. The proof: the four bronze medals and the two fourth places of our Junior National Teams in the past two FINA World Junior Championships, including in 2009 where I had the opportunity to coach many of those young athletes.”
