Canada’s Ware sisters win silver medal at diving Grand Prix
BOLZANO, Italy – Pamela Ware and Carol-Ann Ware of Beloeil, Que., won the silver medal on Sunday on the women’s 10-metre synchro event to conclude the final stop on the FINA Grand Prix diving circuit. Liu Huixia and Zhu Jiaming of China took the gold at 329.70, the Ware sisters followed at 304.38 and Monica Marquez and Karla Rivas of Mexico were third at 290.25. ‘’We’ve been focused on our individual events most of this year so it was nice to get back together,’’ said Carol-Ann Ware. ‘’We were a bit nervous but all in all it was a good performance.’’ ‘’Carol-Ann was on today while I could have done my dives a little better,’’ added Pamela Ware. ‘’The promising point from today was the synchronisation.’’ Carol-Ann Ware also won the bronze here on Saturday on individual 10-metre.
