National Volunteer Week (April 15-21, 2012)
National Volunteer Week is a time for Commonwealth Games Canada to take a moment to reflect, celebrate and thank our many volunteers who have helped us out in so many different ways, from our Board of Directors and Members-at-Large for their dedication and commitment to the Governance of the Organization, the mission staff members who have helped many, many athletes and coaches with their competitive goals to the IDS alumni and Capacity Support Officers in helping CGC reach more than 1.9 million children and youth in Africa and the Caribbean and help build capacity within Commonwealth Games Associations throughout the commonwealth and those that volunteered for the inaugural game of Life run/walk last year. We look forward to your ongoing support towards this year’s event taking place in Halifax, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver on April 29, 2012 and Ottawa on July 1, 2012.
CGC would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for your time and resources to help improve the lives of our athletes, coaches, interns and the beneficiaries of our programs! CGC cannot do what we do without the special people like you. Please give yourself a “pat on the back” and know that you mean a lot to CGC!
THANK YOU!
