Wrestling Canada Lutte Appoints Dave McKay as Men’s Olympic Coach
Dave McKay brings experience and continuity to Men’s Wrestling Program
(Ottawa, ON – April 3, 2012) Wrestling Canada Lutte is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave McKay as the Men’s Freestyle Olympic coach, leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
McKay, a former Olympian and NCCP level 4 certified coach, has over 20 years experience in high performance coaching at multiple Olympic Games and World Championships, including coaching Daniel Igali to gold medals at the 1999 Senior World Championships and 2000 Olympic Games.
As the Men’s Olympic coach, Dave will be responsible for directing and coordinating the men’s freestyle Olympic team program, with a specific focus on Own The Podium (OTP) targeted athletes.
Dave began his duties on April 1st.
