Athletics Canada announces Commonwealth Youth Games team
OTTAWA - Athletics Canada has named the team that will compete at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in Isle of Man, Great Britain. This will be Canada’s second participation in athletics at the 4th Commonwealth Youth Games. In 2008 Athletics Canada’s entry came away with one gold, three silver and three bronze medals for a total of seven podiums.
The games will be held September 9 to 11 at the National Sports Centre which features a new track, jumping pits, pole vault area, and throwing facilities.
