VICE PRESIDENT

Nancy Lee brings over 20 years of broadcasting and international sport experience to the CGC Board of Directors. She received her Masters in Journalism from Carleton University and a BA (Honours) in French from the University of Toronto, which included studying abroad at the University of Haute Bretagne-Rennes in France.

During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Nancy served as Chief Operating Officer for Olympic Broadcasting Services Vancouver (OBSV). In that role, she was responsible for a staff of 2,700 people that managed the operations and infrastructure for 20 broadcast venues throughout Vancouver and Whistler. She also worked closely with more than 100 rights-holding broadcasters to ensure they received the coverage and services necessary for their production of the Winter Games.

Prior to her tenure with OBSV, Nancy spent a decade at the CBC, There, she honed her skills as a news and sports reporter/editor; a sports producer (The Inside Track), and later, as the head of Radio and Television Sports, where she was responsible for over 1000 hours of sports programming a year? and 120 staff. Part of her mandate also included negotiating the rights for CBC to broadcast NHL and CFL games, as well as international multi-sport games, world championships and world cup events.

Background in Sport

Nancy has garnered national recognition for advancing successful initiatives like “Soccer Day in Canada” and “Hockey Day in Canada”, along with international acclaim for her support of high performance sport in general.

Nancy lives in Toronto where she spends her spare time volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store and the Parkinson’s Society of Canada.
