CBC Sports to Provide Exclusive Canadian Broadcast and Streaming Coverage of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, July 28-August 8

OTTAWA - (2022 - 07 - 11) - Commonwealth Sport Canada (CSC) and CBC Sports are proud to announce  Canada’s Olympic Network as the exclusive Canadian broadcast and streaming home of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, taking place from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England.

CBC Sports will provide comprehensive broadcast and streaming coverage of the 12-day multi-sport event, including 10 hours of broadcast coverage as part of CBC Sports weekend programming on CBC TV hosted by Scott Russell and Andi Petrillo, six daily streaming feeds of the competitions available on CBC Gem, cbcsports.ca and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices, and up-to-the-minute news across CBC Sports digital and social media platforms.

The upcoming 2022 Games will occur in Birmingham, England from July 28 through to August 8, with 74 participating nations and territories taking part. For the Games this summer, Canada will be sending a team of more than 400 athletes, coaches and managers with 275 Team Canada athletes competing in 18 Sports and five para sports. Canada’s performance projection for the 2022 Commonwealth Games is top 3 ranking in total medals, amongst all nations and territories competing.
